- Just for the record, I just had a good experience with Zoom
- Telephonics. Though my old Zoom 14.4 always had problems, I got a new modem
- so I was able to send it back for repair... now it works fine. Zoom responded
- to my E-mail in about 2 days. They sent me an RA #, and I returned my 3-year
- old modem to them. They repaired it free of charge and sent it back in better
- than ever condition in less than 3 weeks. Hooray for Zoom!

- In the meantime, my new modem, which WAS a Sportster 28.8 Vi external
- was having problems of its own. US Robotics finally came back with a
- competent reply to my E-mail in about 4 weeks. By then it was too late, I had
- already sent the modem back to Insight for a refund.

- In the same time it took for USR to respond to E-mail, Zoom was able
- to respond to E-mail, repair, and send back a working modem. Zoom may not be
- as highly rated as USR, but I would rather buy a product from someone who is
- willing to support their products.
